Mayor Keith Brady has an extensive record of public service. His active memberships include the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia Board of Directors, Second Vice President of the Georgia Municipal Association, the Mayor’s Council for Public Power, member of Newnan/Coweta Board of Realtors, the Newnan Coweta Boys and Girls Club Board, the University of Georgia Gridiron Society, Newnan Downtown Development Authority, board member Georgia Interlocal Risk Management. He also currently serves on the Newnan High School Touchdown Club Board.

 

Mayor Brady’s past community involvement includes member of the Board of Trustees of the United Way, president of the Newnan Coweta Boys and Girls Club Board, chairman of the Newnan Downtown Development Authority, chairman of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of Education Central Education Center Steering Committee, member of the Boys Scouts of America Flint River Advisory Panel, the Board of Directors of the Chattahoochee Flint Regional Center, National League of Cities Transportation and Communication Committee, Georgia Technology Authority Board of Directors, Newnan Kiwanis Club Board of Directors, the Coweta County African American Alliance. He is a former member and past president of the Newnan Bulldog Club and Newnan Country Club.

In 2002, Mayor Brady was the recipient of the Metro Atlanta Boys and Girls Club’s “John Swain” Volunteer of the Year and the recipient of Georgia Community Action Association Humanitarian Award. 

In addition to all these roles and accomplishments, he has served as Mayor of Newnan since 1994.

On a personal note, Mayor Brady was born and educated in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business in 1974. After graduation from UGA, he moved to Newnan and worked in the family business until 1992. He is currently owner and broker of Josey, Young, and Brady Realty. He and his wife, Katie, are the proud parents of two children, Jason married to Mattie and Laura  married to Brian Smith and the proud grandparents of Martha Grier Brady,  Benjamin Lee Smith and Catherine Barron Brady. He and his family are active in Central Baptist Church of Newnan.
